Is the CWLU for you?

Are you a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, niece, grandmother, greatgrandmother? Are you a woman? Growing up, did you feel that something was just not right? That even though you were able to vote and that men said that you were equal to them, that you still were restricted from having the jobs you wanted, behaving the way you wanted or dressing the way you wanted? Do you believe that you are unable to achieve these things because of who you are? That you are just “not good/smart/pretty enough?”

Well it is because of who you are. But not who you are personally. You have been restricted because you are a woman. Achieving your full potential has nothing to do with how good or smart or pretty you are, rather it has everything to do with the expectations and restrictions placed upon you by society. Your sex, gender, age, race and class all impact what the world at large will expect of you, what it will demand of you, and what it will keep you from achieving.

You deserve better.

You my sister, my mother, my daughter, my niece, my aunt, my grandmother deserve the chance to be considered based on your individual worth, not factors that you have no control over.

So join the CWLU, and work towards your liberation, and the liberation of your fellow women regardless of age, race, or class. We all deserve a chance, and so do you.
