Welcome!

This blog is a class project undertaken by four Bryn Mawr and Haverford students. Our assignment was to represent the Women’s Movement of the 1960’s and 70’s by locating ourselves in a particular moment in time and as a particular organization. We have chosen February of 1973 and are proud to portray the Chicago Women’s Liberation Union. The CWLU is still in existence and we welcome and commend any current or past member of the Women’s Union who are happening to visit our paltry little blog project. We also highly encourage all who are visiting to take a look at their current website and buy a feminist poster (yes that link is real and administered by the cwluherstory website!).

We have tried to present the CWLU and cite all reference material to the best of our abilities, however we are well aware of our limitations, and apologize for any possible misrepresentations or unintentional plagiarism.

Again, thank you for visiting and take a step back in time and explore our version of the CWLU of 1973!
